January 8, Tuesday Undergraduate academic appeals deadline
January 8–12, Tuesday–Saturday Orientation, Advising, Registration for all students based on student population and classification
January 14, Monday Classes Begin 8:00 a.m.
January 14–18, Monday-Friday Late Registration and Schedule Adjustment
January 18, Friday Financial Aid satisfactory academic progress appeals deadline
January 18, Friday Deadline for undergraduates to apply to graduate in May 2002
January 18, Friday Last day to change courses or course sections without special permission
January 21, Monday Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Classes dismissed; offices closed.
January 22, Tuesday Deadline for graduate students to apply to graduate in May 2002
January 22, Tuesday Last day to drop a course for tuition and fees refund
February 1–28 Undergraduate Students planning to either declare or change major should do so at this time
February 18, Monday Deadline for undergraduates to apply to student teach during 2002–2003
February 22, Friday Six weeks progress reports due in University Registrar's Office
March 1, Friday Financial Aid priority filing date for 2002-2003 academic year
March 9, Saturday Instruction ends for Spring Break 1:00 p.m.
March 18, Monday Classes Resume after Spring Break 8:00 a.m.
March 20, Wednesday Last day to drop course(s) without academic penalty
March 27, Wednesday Final date for May doctoral candidates oral examinations
